Jonah Who Runs from the Lord

 Jonah 1:1~4:11
1. People living in the city of Nineveh were evil. God called Jonah and told him to make them repent. Jonah didn't like the idea that God might forgive them, so he ran in the opposite direction and got on the ship to Tarshish. When the ship reached the high seas, a furious storm came upon them. People decided to cast lots to find out who was responsible for the storm. Jonah, who had disobeyed God said, "Throw me into the sea, then the storm will calm down." People were hesitant, but they did as Jonah said. Then the wind stopped and the waves became calm.
